Upcoming Ministry Events

February 24th   Ministry Summit & Potluck Join us after worship for our Potluck & Ministry Summit as we explore opportunities for outreach and ministry in 2019.

March 6th  Ash Wednesday   CAMPFIRE, ASHES, PANCAKES and so much S'More(s)!  Want to observe Ash Wednesday in a non-traditional way?  Come out, and bring your kids, for an evening that is both celebratory and reverent as we gather for Ash Wednesday around a campfire!

People of Faith Lutheran Church will be observing Ash Wednesday outside, under the trees, around a campfire, at the corner of Warrior & Windermere Roads (next to Children's Lighthouse).

We'll start the evening with a Pancake Dinner in the Faith House (the little old yellow house on our property), then S'Mores around the fire, followed by an Ash Wednesday service and imposition of Ashes around the fire.  Bring your chairs and join us for all, or part, of the evening!  Everyone is welcome!

5:30 - 6:30 pm Pancakes in the Faith House

6:30 pm Lighting of the Fire and burning of Palms for Ashes

6:45 pm  S'Mores!

7:00 pm Ash Wednesday Service around the Campfire

HOW YOU CAN HELP!  Email Krista (administrator@peopleoffaith.org) if you can help out with any of the following:

  • We will need people to help coordinate and facilitate our pancake supper.  Suzette Gray has done this for YEARS, but she has a lot on her plate (pun intended!) this year and won't be able to do it.  So, let's step up and see what we can do!  Many hands make light work!  Or, as they say in German, Viele Hände, schnelles Ende!  It rhymes better in German, just saying....
  • We will also need people who can loan us their Tiki Torches for the evening
  • We will need people to bring your own chairs and if anyone can loan us folding chairs for the evening, that would be appreciated.
